Tashi Lhunpo is a Kalmyk Mongolian Buddhist temple that was built in an area of New Jersey where the first Kalmyks came to the United States and built a community called Olna Gazur, which roughly translates as “The People’s Gathering Place.” The temple houses monks and hosts religious services.
