a month agoAwesome serene place where you can spend time visiting the temple and observing the prayers and based on the time, watch a wonderful sunset from many points. You can also do the kora walk / ritual walk around the temple. The path is marked out and you can see many stupas and prayer wheels along the way. The path is a bit up and down and can tire you out a bit.

3 months agoThe Dalai Lama Temple in McLeodganj is a serene and spiritually uplifting place, nestled in the heart of Dharamshala. The temple’s exterior is peaceful, but it’s the interior that truly captivates. The vibrant colors and intricate details on the statues and thangkas make it a feast for the eyes. Inside, the temple houses several statues of Lord Buddha, each more beautiful and peaceful than the last, embodying the essence of Tibetan Buddhism. The surroundings are just as captivating, with views of the nearby mountains that elevate the entire experience. However, a word of caution for visitors: it’s important to maintain silence inside the temple. The sanctity of the space requires respect, and any unnecessary noise disrupts the peaceful atmosphere. Please be mindful of this while visiting, as it allows all devotees and visitors to truly absorb the spiritual energy of the temple.
